Central location with easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer! The neighborhood is a wonderful combination of families, early 30's, and even college students. Only 2 blocks off the Southside strip, bountiful bars/restaurants/cafes/shops are within a short walk.
The Southside, in general, is a staple of Pittsburgh. 100 years ago most of the Southside was steel mills. You can still see fragments of the mills at the Hot Metal Bridge and various pieces along the bike/walking path next to the river. Carson Street is a combination of bars, cafes, and quality restaurants. Down towards the end of the SouthSide is The Southside Works, which is a great, family-friendly, newer part of the city where the American Eagle Headquarters resides.
