Our Guest Cottage, "Adams Get Away", was built in 1907 and initially served as the servants quarters for the help of the Vice President of Alamo National Bank, Otto Meerscheidt and his wife Nettie, the original owners of the main house. The guest cottage has been fully renovated, furnished and today serves as a our short term vacation stay. We are perfectly located in the heart of the Historical King William neighborhood. This adorable cottage features 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers, full kitchen, living and dining area and laundry room. You will be staying in the part of the cottage that includes one queen sized bed with crisp linens, full kitchen, dining and living area, as well as washer/dryer available upon request. The backyard is beautifully landscaped, gated, and private. You will possibly share the backyard if there are any guests staying in the second bedroom of the cottage. There is a full outdoor kitchen and fire pit for all to enjoy. The cottage has a small patio in front to enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the morning and the full outdoor kitchen is available for grilling out any time. Finally, you can put your feet up and sit by the fire pit with a glass of wine and reminisce about your amazing day.
King William is a historical neighborhood in Southtown San Antonio. The serene neighborhood is filled with amazing homes built in the late 1890's to early 1900's. The European architecture is breathtaking and you are within minutes of great restaurants, bars and the famous Riverwalk. King William is the best location for anyone wanting to stay downtown. We are located only 15 minutes from San Antonio International Airport. Many amazing restaurants, bars and sightseeing places are close by. ie: Alamo and Missions, convention center, the Alamodome, AT&T center, Towers of America, Hemisphere Park, antique shopping, the Pearl, ZOO, Witte museum, Japanese tea garden....just to name a few. Downtown is easily accessible with a $6-10 Uber/Lyft or you can just enjoy a 15-20 mins walk.
